Ads

Depending on your relationship to them it could either be a blessing or a curse.  A curse, if you’re like me who up this point have only seen ads as an annoying way to get attention and money.  They show up when you’re trying to quickly go through content but now it’s thrown into the mix that you have to decipher through.  On the other hand, if you are starting an online business these ads can really help you out.  They are great at bringing attention to your website and giving you “foot traffic”.  There are different types of ads, some that take up the whole screen or follow you when you scroll.  Some are just banner ads that are on the side of the content and screen.  If the content is important to me, the ads didn’t bother me much.  Sometimes it seems worth it to watch the ad before the video would play or scroll on past it.  It seems that the sweet spot to not having too little or too much ad is in your audience and the visual size of the ad.  In the end making and tailoring your content so your viewers find it worthy of seeing plus having not too flashily of ads, seems to be the best option.  That way if you have ads on your site, your views will be less likely to leave soon.  Also if you have ads running, you are more likely to get clicks and more “foot traffic”.
